Susan Boyle & Janet Devlin

To write a new article I thought about music. I chose this subject because I like to sing and because I admire  Susan Boyle and Janet Devlin.  Two common people, coming out of the blue with an undiscovered talent.

Susan Boyle is a 51 year old woman from Scotland and she took part in Britains Got Talent, she finished in second place. As you see in the YouTube video everyone is laughing with Susan her age and appearance but when she started to sing everyone started screaming and clapping their hands. At the end of her performance the audience gave her a standing ovation. Worldwide, she appeared in the newspaper while her video has been viewed more than 100 million times within three weeks. Her debut album 'I Dreamed a Dream' was released on 23 November 2009 in the United Kingdom and one day later in the United States.

Yesterday I searched on YouTube some new songs for my Ipod and I found Janet Devlin. Janet was 16 years old when she did her audition for x-factor. She lives in Northern Ireland and since she was 7 years old she has been writing lyrics. She and her family flew all the way from Northern Ireland to the UK because of her audition. She says that it feels like a dream to stand on a huge stage with so many people looking at her. When Janet started singing she sounded very nervous but after a few seconds it went much better. Janet lost her place in the semi-final but we don't may forget that she was only 16 and she had no experience at all!
